About

Welcome to Columbia!

The server has not launched... yet! Development is currently in progress.

At its core, Columbia MC is a classic geopolitical Earth server where players build towns, form nations, and shape the world around them. You can explore the Earth, wage war, and engage in diplomacy just like any traditional Earth server.

What makes Columbia MC different is its focus on the United States, which acts as the central nation of the server. After Earth was devastated by nuclear war, the old world collapsed. From its ashes, a new United States is being rebuilt. The capital, Washington, D.C., is already being reconstructed 1:1 and serves as the serverโ€™s central hub. Here, players come together to govern, debate, and make decisions that affect everyone.

When you join, you have a choice. You can become a citizen of the United States, participating in elections, helping shape laws and policy, and rebuilding towns across the country. Or you can go your own way by founding or joining a new nation somewhere else in the world. The U.S. offers a structured, immersive political system, while independent nations give you full freedom to lead however you want.

Elections

"Democracy is not a spectator sport."

Columbia MC uses custom election infrastructure designed for organization and security. Each election cycle, eligible players can declare their candidacy and appear on the ballot. In addition to voting for president, players in each state also elect their own senators and representatives. All votes are collected and tallied through the serverโ€™s infrastructure, ensuring consistency and integrity across elections.

Political parties play a key role in shaping the electoral landscape. By organizing candidates across states and coordinating campaign efforts, players can influence both control of Congress and the outcome of the presidential race.

The Economy

"It's the economy, stupid."

Columbia MC features a fully player-driven economy built around multiple interconnected systems, including a stock market, a central banking system overseen by the Federal Reserve, and government-issued savings bonds. Players can engage in a wide range of financial activities, allowing for multiple paths to wealth and economic influence.

The Calendar

"The times they are a-changin'."

Columbia MC features a custom calendar where one real-world week equals one in-game year. The day-night cycle is synced to this system, allowing players to experience the passage of time in a compressed but consistent format.

Presidential elections occur every four in-game years, with congressional midterm elections held in between. This creates a structured political cycle that encourages long-term planning, campaigning, and strategic decision-making.
